This direction calls on you to be aware of your role in the relationship that you are seeking to co-create. Know what you bring to the interaction.

The Co-Creative Task of this Direction:
Perception

A key aspect of success in any relationship is awareness. Be aware of the roles you play, the history that you bring to anything new. Take an honest look - "Know Thyself" to the greatest extent possible. Know who you are, and what you expect from others, be they employees, co-workers, family, or your "significant other."

Pay your dues up front - no lies, no skeletons in the closet. In other words, debrief before you start. Be honest about your strengths, your weaknesses, how much you're willing to do. Be willing to give up any old stories - stories that can cause you to misinterpret the current situation.

See as much as you can about your contribution. What is your vision? What are your goals? What is your method of operation? Then consider these aspects of the other person/persons. Are you compatible? In which areas do you need to seek alignment? In which ones will differences cause problems? In which will they strengthen the relationship? (There will be tests!)

If you have drawn a card in this direction, you are being called on to use your mental faculties to fully assess the relationship. There is no call for action here; there is no place for emotions; the situation does not require spiritual insight. The task is to be present to the truth of what is, and then strive to align your vision.
